Clearly, the author knows and loves the archipelago, and he recreates it vividly. The characters are rounded and (mostly) convincing. The book itself is not bad, but the translation is really amateurish making it difficult at times to appreciate the story.It almost seems the translation was mechanical.
Nice book good plot, gives some insight into Swedish politics, A good, quick read.
Ha ha, very nice, I really liked it. In the end, I honestly couldn't put the book down. Good, solid, story. Strong characters. Beautiful surroundings. The outcome was a surprise to me, I didn't see it coming, but at the same time it makes a lot of sense. That's how it works in this world, isn't it? PS I've signed up for the sequel, when is it here?
I happened to read this book at a crossroads in my life.Im happy that i found this amazing new author im so looking forward to the next book.Would highly recommend this book and would give 10+if i could.
What a pleasant surprise. I thought the book wasn't going anywhere and suddenly took off. The only thing wrong might be that transition itself was a bit sudden but that's a small complaint.
This was hard to put down. It is a well developed plot, based on real events. It is a very convoluted tale but so well told that it is easy to follow, but difficult to figure out until the very end. There are very few proofs or edits needed in the copy I read in . I loved the locale, also.
This is an thrilling story with a truly unexpected development. The truth behind this crime, when it finally transpires, is certainly unexpected, but it is also genuinely interesting in a way that places this mystery novel somewhere in between fiction and fact. The murder history as such is one hundred percent made up, I'm sure, but the historical backdrop seems authentic, and the sceneries from the beautiful archipelago make me want to go there some day. Great read, and I for one am eagerly awaiting the sequel.
